‘Top 3 Ways to be Invaluable to your Social Network' (Part 3)

Welcome back to Part 3 of the ‘Top 3 Ways to be Invaluable to your Social Network.' In the previous note we discussed the ‘2nd Way to Be Invaluable to your Social Network' which is ‘Professional Value.' I shared with you how ‘Professional Value' is your knowledge, expertise, resources, and credibility you provide to your social network in your targeted niche within a specific industry. Now you know I'm going to ask you if you took action right?OK, here are the key questions?Have you decided on a set schedule when and how often you will post to your blog?Have you posted a blog post, note, or article recently sharing valuable information relevant to your niche?Have you identified and subscribed to the top bloggers in your niche?Have you used Tweet Scan to see what others are tweeting about in your niche?I bet you said ‘Yes' to all those questions right?Phew! You had me worried. :) Before we move on to the 3rd and final way to be invaluable to your social network, let me disclose that this is my personal opinion and belief on not only what I focus on to become invaluable to my personal social network but also what I look for in others who become invaluable to me.So are you ready for the ‘3rd Way to Be Invaluable to your Social Network?'Fantastic! It's ‘Promotional Value.'In my opinion ‘Promotional Value' is the value you create from the quality of the people, content, tools, resources, links, videos, and audios that you promote to your social network. Now, the 1st and 2nd way of becoming invaluable to your social network is entirely up to you! This means you are directly in the driver's seat when it comes to the personal and professional value you create for your social network. Now in creating ‘Promotional Value' to your social network you are no longer the driver you are the passenger. What does that mean you ask?It means that in creating ‘Promotional Value' you will be promoting other people's content, links, posts, resources and so on to your social network that you believe has great value. By promoting someone else's content to your social network you are no longer the driver of that content you are the passenger. Now the best part is YOU get to decide who the driver is going to be!This is so important that so many people miss out on because it's so easy to post a link or share an article or re tweet someone else's information without truly taking the time or care in researching what your actually promoting. If you were going to be the passenger in a race car that was about to go around the track at 150+ miles per hour wouldn't you want to be careful on who the driver is going to be?I hope so!Now, when building your ‘Promotional Value' in your niche you want to make sure that the drivers you select know what they're doing and best represent you and your brand. To become invaluable on a promotional level to your social network you need to carefully promote only that which best represents your ideas, beliefs, values, character, and integrity.Whoa! That's some big shoes to fill right?Well, look at it this way. When you surround yourself with like-minded people who also provide carefully crafted content with ‘Value' sprinkled all over it and you share it with your social network what does that do for you?It increases your level of promotional value! So, the next time you decide to promote someone else's blog post, article, tweet, link, note, video, tools, or audio be sure to remember that you're not only promoting that person (the driver) but you're also promoting you and your promotional value.Promoting other people is so important and in my opinion is the foundation for servant leadership.Seek to serve others rather than dominate them.I want to personally thank you for sharing your precious time with me and would love to hear your story on becoming invaluable to your social network.Remember - Our success is a direct result of knowing how to market a brand and having the right people representing the brand. ~ Greg NormanMake it a great day!MarcoPresidentNational Entrepreneur ClubMarco Carbajo is a business credit specialist and social media marketing trainer.
